Maria bought some boots off eBay from "badlookingboy" - "Crystal Anderson" got in the mix here somehow, probably when she gave a snotty reply to my inquiry about the item.
To me, both of them are guilty parties.
The original auction
We paid through PayPal (yes, bad idea, don't tell me how much paypal sucks/etc.)
That was in February. After a few weeks, we heard nothing back. So, Maria called him. The guy said "Oh, my girlfriend has them. We'll be shipping them soon." Weeks went by - nothing. Filed fraud reports with Paypal and eBay. No results. Maria posted negative feedback.
Now, March 11th - the user SELLS THE SAME BOOTS TO SOMEONE ELSE for more money!
Just in case the eBay auctions mysteriously vanish, I have PDF prints of both of them.
The boots my g/f WON but never got
The boots that this user sold to someone else
Around April 27th, I wrote to this user and got the following response:: From: Crystal R AndersonExcuse me? Nobody "harrassed" you, Crystal (or whoever). You're a scammer that STOLE from us. Refund the money! To: Date: Tue Apr 29, 2003 02:59:19 PM PDT Subject: Re: Question from eBay Member you have already filed your complaints to ebay and paypal.now stop harrassing me. -------Original Message------- From: drstein@mac.com Sent: 04/29/03 12:36 PM To: theskybrokeopen@earthlink.net Subject: Question from eBay Member > > To member: badlookingboy From member: drstein -------------------- Isn't http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=11627&item=2816989124 .the same as http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=11627&item=2809225230 ?? The second item was PAID FOR but never shipped, Are you ever going to refund the money? My reply: Crystal/et al, Nobody has "harassed" you at all. However, you have committed theft, and quite possibly, fraud. You took payment for an item and then never shipped the item. You then re-sold the exact item to someone else and never refunded the money. You also refused to answer inquiries into the situation. Please refund the $29.85 that was paid for item 2809225230. That is all that is asked. You have 72 hours to complete this task. Regards, drstein@mac.com
User never wrote back. So, Crystal Anderson is lying, or her boyfriend (badlookingboy) is a thief. Chances are, it's both. If she's innocent, then she's an idiot for letting her boyfriend use her email address to reply to eBay inquiries. Perhaps she should develop some better taste in men and should stop dating people that RIP OFF OTHERS on eBay. Look at the feedback for "badlookingboy" - he has a documented history of defrauding people on eBay, yet they leave his account active. What a shock.
May 29th, 2003:
Checked feedback for "mahriyah" today, and found that "badlookingboy" had left negative feedback saying "PSYCHO BIDDER!! BEWARE!!"
Now considering that it was "badlookingboy" that stole money from us in the first place that's a little unusual.
Also noticed that "badlookingboy" has racked up a few more negative feedback points. eBay continues to do absolutely nothing. Geez.
Here is a PDF of the feedback page.
Oh, I forgot to mention that eBay denied the fraud claim form because they said the value wasn't high enough. That's nice to know. Keep the dollar value low and eBay will let you get away with outright theft. Niiiice...
July 10th, 2003:
Checked the feedback page again. MORE negative feedback for this loser, and still eBay does nothing about it.
